Rita Moreno
Rita Moreno is a Puerto Rican singer, dancer and actress. She is the first and only Hispanic person and one of the few performers who have won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony and at the time the second Puerto Rican actor to win an Academy Award.
At the age of 13, she made her Broadway debut in the play "Skydrift" at the Belasco Theatre, costarring with Arthur Keegan and a young Eli Wallach. She is featured in the classics Singin' in the Rain (1952) and The King and I (1956). She starred in West Side Story (1961) as Anita which earned her an Academy Award.
Moreno won a 1972 Grammy Award for her contribution to "The Electric Company"'s soundtrack album, following it up three years later with a Tony Award as Best Featured Actress in a Musical for The Ritz. She then won Emmy Awards for The Muppet Show (1976) and The Rockford Files (1974).
She has continued to work steadily screen in projects including the reboot of One Day at A Time on Netflix and on Steven Spielberg's West Side Story which she also executive produced. Her status as a national treasure was solidifed when she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in June 2004.
